The Province of Zuid-Holland deals with enormous quantities of data. Finding and using this data required a smart portal with a powerful search capability. We got to work, together with our BI team.
PZH wanted a platform accessible to everyone – both for internal employees and the general public. On the platform you can find data, upload and organize your own data and exchange knowledge with one
another. The major functions include a smart search function, flexibility of data formatting and a simple, intuitive design.
All the data
Employees of the Province of Zuid-Holland can find the information they need in a fraction of a second. They are also able to assess the quality of the data and contact the person who uploaded it. This helps jointly improve access to the information. This project is part of the Dutch government’s initiative to increase their transparency.
Scrum with the government
This project involved many departments of the Province of Zuid-Holland. In addition, close cooperation took place with KBenP’s Business Intelligence team, the UX team and the development team. Thanks to this wide variety, it is possible to retain an overview of the entire project – it was for exactly this reason that a Scrum approach was adopted. This enabled us to consistently deliver in small batches and to make demonstrations to all stakeholders. In this way, we were able to coordinate with all parties involved at every step and we were sure that every step we took was in the right direction.
